Pockets

People are often put off using a wing by the absence of pockets. I find this odd.

When I was using a stab jacket, I had two huge pockets. I didn't use them much, because they were awkward to get to and wouldn't hold anything bulky when the stab was inflated.

When I went over to a wing, it had no pockets, of course. I got by for a while by hanging some off my waist strap, then finally got myself a new drysuit with pockets fixed on.

It may seem strange, putting lots of kit in pockets instead of clipping them on, but it has a lot going for it:

Stab jacket pockets are renowned for being difficult to get to. But when the pockets are thigh-mounted, they're right by your hands.

Things dropping out is a valid worry, but only if you don't secure them. The simplest way of making things easily accessible and preventing their loss is to use a bit of bungee.
